The media and entertainment industry of India has seen a rapid growth and specially for the animation and visual effects industry India is slowly but steadily becoming the global giant. Indian animation industry has been moving up the global chain at a pace faster than any other industry. The global giants like Sony, Walt Disney, Warner Brothers and many more have been outsourcing to the Indian media industry. With the increase in projects being outsourced to India there is huge increase in employment which caters to the young, creative and the enthusiastic youth in the country. Cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Chennai have been becoming the animation industry hub. The In-house production houses and hi-tech digital studios have been attracting many clients abroad.
Other than that, the animation industry abroad is benefitted by the low production cost which is much lesser in India than any other place globally. The Indian entertainment industry has a large pool of Low-Cost workforce and they have a vast range of services that they have in store to provide. From working on the basic story boarding to producing the final output we have a wide range of services to offer. We at India have young, talented and eager workforce. Also being a developing nation, we are open to experimentation and hard work. In times to come Indian Media and Entertainment industry will be the largest in the world and will have a lot more to offer.
The only requirement of the hour is to bring awareness about the industry so that our youth can benefit from it the most which would also help fight the problem of unemployment in India. The education system in India do not make the students professionally capable enough so as to draw maximum from there learning. Although with leading institutes like #MAACDharamshala a step has been taken to make students industrial ready and excel in the field of animation. An investment of US$ 2 million approximately is done every year in India in the 2D/3D animation industry. The Indian media and animation industry hire around 1 lakh people which is quite a good number. A substantial amount of in-house production of serials, movies have also given the animation industry a push. The Media and Entertainment Industry in India has a lot to offer, the only need is to grab the offer and move forward.
